Sutton Coldfield Is Booming for Business
Birmingham and all the exciting things that are happening in our city for businesses and startups. It’s now Sutton Coldfield’s turn in the limelight! I’ve lived in Sutton Coldfield since I was 6 and ran a business here for 9 years, so feel thoroughly qualified to shout about it! Here’s why:
Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce: the 1st new chamber in 58 years, has been launched in Sutton Coldfield. That’s got to mean something hasn’t it!? With a fresh new approach, in their short time around in the area, they’ve already hosted two very well attended business networking events at local business venues. The business development manager, Julia Gray is young and enthusiastic and can regularly be seen at other business networking events sharing and promoting their value and offerings available. There is definitely a fresh buzz around the chamber. Join Julia at Angels’ Business Mastermind in March to hear more about what’s happening in Sutton Coldfield.
There are many great business networking groups based in Sutton Coldfield: Angels’ Business Mastermind Network aimed at helping and supporting business owners to grow and develop their business through interactive workshops. WIRE (Women in Rural Enterprise) is opening a networking group within the next month and winner of Networker of the Year, at the Business Networking Awards, Anthony Levell runs several business networking groups based at Buzzards Valley and Quinto Lounge. There are some large companies with their head offices based in or close to Sutton Coldfield; such as Jaguar and McDonalds to name a few. Clare Whalley celebrated 10 years in business in 2017. A great milestone to achieve. She graduated with an International degree in English and Education and went into corporate life to pursue a career outside of teaching. Successfully passing a rigorous graduate scheme into a blue chip company; working in several positions across team management, customer service and sales roles. A working trip to India helped her decide to resign, retrain and set up her own coaching and training business.
Clare now lives in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham with her two young children, Isabelle and James and her husband Rob.
Clare works with fellow business owners to help them create a business they love too. She uses strategies and tools which will help business owners get to the clients they love to work with, with more consistency and ease.
